ASAP tuning FAQs

What is the difference between 4 Weeks and Full Support?

Four Weeks gives you a limited window to access and try the available files in your purchased package. Afterward, your installed file remains on the truck and access to the other library choices ends. Full Support keeps access to that package's available library open so you can revisit compatible file choices.

Do I need an EZ Lynk device?

Yes, these ASAP EZ Lynk packages require a compatible AutoAgent 2.0 or newer. Tuning-only purchases do not include the device. Choose an EZ Lynk + tuning package if you need both.

Is transmission tuning included?

That depends on the package you select. ECM means engine tuning; TCM means transmission tuning. Review whether your selection includes ECM only, ECM + TCM, or a listed TCM add-on. Full Support describes file access and does not automatically add transmission tuning.

Is tuning safe for my engine and transmission?

The correct calibration must match your truck, its condition, and how you use it. No tune can guarantee against mechanical failure. Maintenance, load, supporting hardware, and driving habits all matter, so choose the appropriate file and address existing mechanical problems first.

How much horsepower can ASAP tuning add?

Available power settings vary by model year and calibration package. Your truck's configuration also affects the result. Use the options confirmed for your exact package; a file's advertised power rating is not a guaranteed measured gain for every truck.

Will tuning improve fuel economy?

Fuel economy can change with the calibration, tires, load, driving conditions, and use of the added power. An MPG increase is not guaranteed, and more aggressive driving can use more fuel.

Can I tow with ASAP tuning?

Select the appropriate tow file for your truck and load. A higher-power file is not automatically the right choice for towing. Follow the guidance for your specific calibration and stay within the truck's rated limits.

Do I need a physical SOTF switch?

Only files labeled SOTF work with the appropriate physical switch. Files labeled Single are single-power files. Check the switch and file requirements for your exact truck; hardware is included only when listed in your package.

Will this work with my truck?

Choose the exact engine and year range in the listing. For 2018–2020 F-150 3.0 Powerstroke, cab-and-chassis, F-550 or unusual configurations, contact us to confirm the right package before ordering. Provide your VIN and configuration for verification.
